Last updated: 26 September 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of CyberUpdater, including the CyberUpdater Chrome extension, website, support services and related materials.

By installing, purchasing or using CyberUpdater, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use CyberUpdater.

1. ABOUT CYBERUPDATER

CyberUpdater is a guided computer-security maintenance tool.

It helps you review a set of important protections, record their status and identify when they should be checked again.

CyberUpdater does not:

• Scan your computer for malware

• Act as antivirus software

• Detect every security threat or vulnerability

• Automatically change your computer settings

• Guarantee that your computer or accounts are secure

You remain responsible for deciding whether to follow any guidance provided by CyberUpdater and for making changes to your own computer, accounts and settings.

2. THE SIX PROTECTIONS

CyberUpdater currently provides guidance relating to:

• System and browser updates

• Two-step verification

• Backups

• Firewall

• Screen lock and encryption

• Browser extensions

CyberUpdater may update, improve, add or remove features over time.

3. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

CyberUpdater provides guidance and review tracking.

You are responsible for:

• Checking the information shown to you

• Making your own decisions about security settings

• Seeking professional technical help where necessary

4. NO SECURITY GUARANTEE

CyberUpdater is intended to help you maintain awareness of selected security protections.

It does not guarantee:

• That your computer is secure

• That your accounts cannot be compromised

• That malware, hacking, data loss or other security incidents will not occur

• That every relevant security setting or protection has been checked

• That guidance will remain correct for every operating-system or software version

Security settings, software and operating systems change over time.

CyberUpdater should be used as a maintenance aid, not as a replacement for antivirus software, professional security services, backups or other appropriate protections.

5. MAC AND WINDOWS GUIDANCE
