Install CyberUpdater from the Chrome Web Store.
Open CyberUpdater.
Click Run Security Update.
Work through the six protections.
Choose Updated or Not Updated for each protection.
Return later when a protection is due for review.
Check if your computer and Chrome browser are up to date.
Confirm that two-step verification is enabled on your important accounts.
Check if you have a working backup system.
Make sure your computer's built-in firewall is turned on.
Check screen lock and device encryption status.
Review browser extensions you no longer use or recognise.
